Well, summer is winding down and while it’s not a new calendar year it’s that time where it feels like we start a new year. It’s funny how summer ending and the school year starting is so deeply rooted in us as a new year–even in the life of a church.
As we head into the fall, anyone familiar with this situation:
Question: “What’s a good book on evangelism?”
Answer: “[fill in good book title here]”
Problem: It takes hours and hours to read that book and my life is too busy!
With our next series, we want to at least try to help with this problem. We are going to do an “Evangelism Reader’s Digest” series. We’ve picked a few good books on evangelism that OPC pastors like and CHMCE recommends to people. We are going to turn good parts of the books into digestible reads of maybe 10 minutes or so with some questions for discussion.
Alongside this series, we will continue to have podcasts and stories interspersed. We will also break things up with a series we are calling “Hidden Gems.” More on that when we publish the first post.
We hope you had a blessed summer, maybe enjoyed a long weekend, and we’ll jump in with our first post next week.
