In Part 3, Brad talks about how building relationships requires patience and what to look for in fruit over time in your evangelism. (These are all stand alone videos, but if you’ve missed the first two installments you can find them here: Peppo Series)
Questions for Thought or Discussion:
1) Brad talks about the patience needed in building relationships that lead to tangible fruit of seeing somebody at a church related event or in someone’s home…what are your current views of patience from the day you meet a new unbeliever to seeing them attend something? How long would you expect it to take? How does that compare to Brad’s timeframe of 18 months or with some of his relationships–6 years? He even included believers who aren’t in a church in that comment.
2) How would that view of patience with evangelism change those relationships? How would it change the church’s “ministry” approach to evangelism, particularly regarding time and resources?
3) What has changed in the last 10 years that impacts this view of patience in evangelism…..beyond simply saying “culture is more unchurched or secular,” though that’s true….what specifically has changed in life, culture, and relationships?
